What Would Cause Too Many Temporary Internet Files?

    Hi Folks,

Recently, I've noticed an excess amount of temporary internet files on my computer.

Oddly enough, I'm not using Firefox or IE that often. What could be running that would utilize all these temp files?

Only new programme updated is my Trend Micro. All other programmes updated.

    Removed IE11 and reinstalled it.
    Changed passwords for Wifi connection
Checked msconfig to ensure not to many programmes are running at start-up.

Your suggestions would be most appreciated.

    Cheers, ms

Temporary files are common. The best way to remove them is to download the free ccleaner and use it once a week.

The only place temporary internet files come from is using Internet explorer.
Why do you think it's an excess amount?

Everytime your done with the pc for the day you should delete the temp files

And just lower the amount explorer can use.

Hi first thing you should do is get rid of TrendMicro,
    It causes nothing but problems,
Seek another security choice sooner than later

Temp files are easily deleted on exit on any browser,
    Cheers.
