And how would you ever know how good it is if you search for only relatively common stuff and pay little or no attention to how recent the results are? Getting 10 billion hits for "Barack Obama" doesn't tell me much. Can it find Barack Obama's hat size? That's a more realistic test of how good it might be.

I agree both search engines are very good. Both support highest TLS security possible. It is up to your browser settings to provide you with the highest encryption negotiation algos possible.

You can test your browser here https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/viewMyClient.html and disable the weak cipher suites and vulnerable protocols of your browser.

I have an icon for it on my taskbar, but I have not been using it.

I was put off by the slow indexing mentioned in my above response. I can't live with that in a search engine.

I may or may not eventually give it a further test drive.
