Hi,
See if this helps,

Otherwise in an open gmail window simply use Shift+? to see them all
Go to GMail contacts and where the yellow marker is hit enter which will all you to add the name of your contact.
Then go to list of contacts, find that name, then hit edit where you can add e-mail address, home address and any important info on that contact.
Hope this is what you are looking for. Post back if you need more help or we have helped you. This is the way we all learn.

In 'Basic HTML view' of gmail, the yellow marker does not appear. Please see attachment.
I am really looking to add a new contact to the list. An e-mail address I received over the phone, for instance.
Regards,
Do you mean, to send and e-mail to the new contact and then from the sent e-mail to save it?
Regards,
Melita,
I may have given you how to save contact on my laptop/desktop not on a phone.
My phone is a flip top where I just make/receive calls when I was away from my wife. Used only to check on her.
It had no internet or text capability. Sorry!

I Googled "How to save contacts using HTML" and came up with these links.
javascript - Save contact number to mobile phone - Stack Overflow

Hope this helps.
Hello THW,
I am sorry if you got the wrong impression, but this question is for a 15.5" laptop and not for a phone. This laptop Internet connection is very slow and only Basic HTML work for gmail. The option to include a contact (with the e-mail address etc.), cannot be found in the 'contacts' page or 'Compose' page or anywhere else in gmail when in Basic HTML view. That is what I am really after, to find a way to do this.
Thank you,
