How to export Windows Live Mail to other Webmail account

Is it possible to move email messages out of Windows Live Mail and import them to a Webmail account, such as Telus.net?

    'mornin, Eljay!

Scroll down a bit more than half way till you see Set up TELUS email for your computer using Windows® Live™ Mail 2012, see if that works.

This looks about the same: How to set up Telus on Windows Live Mail

Here's the search page I found them on, there may be more answers there: https://www.google.com/search?q=WLM+...utf-8&oe=utf-8

Hi Anak. I am trying to help my sister. She has used WLM for years.
Her Telus account is connected to it. She does not want that anymore.
I exported all her messages out of the program to her desktop.
I was able to import all the contacts from WLM to the desktop and then into Telus Web mail.
    (Good grief...all 399. Fortunately it was quick . )

I can't do the same for the messages. I told her just to archive them and start over.
Well, she doesn't like that. She wants everything all in one snug little place??
Now, the problem is that she can not read them unless she opens them in the WLM.
Is there another program out there...that can read them? Not sure what I can do for her.

Are you saying that you have imported her WLM messages into telus, and telus can't read them?

    Hi Anak.
    No, I am saying... I can't.
I could import all her contacts from WLM to the desktop...then I did import them to her Telus Account.
I can't import all her folders/mail into the Telus account....

Well... I'll take a rest from this for... 3 months. She left for Mexico.
    I have my own conundrums.

See this link: Windows Live Mail - Importing and Exporting Accounts and read through Exporting Folders in Windows Live Mail until you understand it. It is the very first part of this tutorial.
Stop at Step#5 of Exporting Folders in Windows Live Mail.

The beginning instructs how to export WLM messages, heed all the warnings about making backups, I'd make at least two copies of your sisters messages, and do not delete any of her accounts in WLM or uninstall WLM, if you do you'll lose everything she has accumulated.

Leave the WLM accounts, and program alone, all you want to do is export her messages! If there is a problem we can fall back on the program.

Remember where you saved the exported messages. The Desktop would be the preferred location or as the tutorial suggests you could create a special Folder.

Then go into her Telus account and import the messages. This sounds like it will work, it all depends on whether or not Telus has an import action for messages. If it doesn't I'd try talking your sister out of staying with telus, every webmail program worth its salt would have this feature.

I'm at a disadvantage because I don't have telus and I haven't been able to find any screenshots of importing messages into telus, just the accounts, you're going to have to try and find out if it can be done.
If you get stuck remember to attach screenshots of where you got stuck, and any steps leading up to it.

3months in Mexico, did she take the sailboat??

omg! Thanks for this post Anak.
I did export her messages to the desktop.
Then I deleted or unattached her account because she did not want it there anymore.
All her messages are on her desktop. God help me if I did something wrong.

    Did they take the sailboat?
They have several. The KAT is still in the backyard...YEE HAW!
A few years ago they drove down with one of the sailboats and left it there.
They have been going to the same place every year for the past 5 or 6 years or so.
My sister's hubby has a friend there and they teach people how to sail. Here as well.
Hey... you never read your visitor messages!

Yes, God help you. I did ask you not to delete the account didn't I? Maybe it was already too late?

Yes, it was already too late. She was rushing me to do it at the last minute before she left.
I had actually given her a link to the Tutorial to read about a month ago and asked her if she wanted me do it, to let me know. That's my sister... wait till the last minute.
