Your Hosts file is okay, I wanted to see if anything had been added either by you Jess or malware. Next time though save any text files as .txt.
Malware can hide much easier in a Word, Excel file.

You can run rogue killer, but malwarebytes has its types here, and superantispyware under its 'System Tools" section can be sufficient enough to do the job.
Try running each of those to see what they find and remove, and what they can't remove. Then you can advance to something more dedicated for removal.

If you want to try an online antimalware scanner, keep in mind herdprotect will only try to find malware it will not remove it if it does find it, see: http://herdProtect: Second-opinion anti-malware scanner with 68 scan engines | www.thewindowsclub.com

Here is a list of online scanners, some only look, some look and remove, pick the ones that do both: Free Antimalware Tools | Malware Help. Org, and don't just run one, run the first four, skip Tenebril, then run the next three. Report back any malware that couldn't be removed, upload the logs.

When's the last time you've defraged your machine Jess, have it on auto?

       Note
I don't know how much longer I'll be able to help. I have a family emergency, and I'll probably be gone for all next week.

Maxie, if you and Jess get stuck, ask for help at the "More Help Requested Thread"

Maxie if I might make a suggestion I would be trying this as it doesn't involve Windows and scans (very quickly) the machine on it's own.

Download Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 it needs a bootable disk to be made Jesse but it is very easy.

Anyway just two cents worth as I haven't read the entire thread yet to see what malware stuff has been run.
