Image selection jumps to the top of the page

    Hello,

My system is windows 7 64 bit. I use Google as my search engine,

Let's say I do a web search for spaceships. I get the results and want to look at the images so I select images.

I scroll down the page with the images and select an image near the bottom of the page. I get a brief flicker on the screen and I am returned to the top of the image page. I must scroll down to the area where the selected image was in order to view the enlarged selection.

This just began two weeks ago. I've scanned the system for rootkits, malware, and spyware with the Emisoft Emergency Kit scanner, Malware Bytes (free) Panda Cloud Antivirus, gMER, Rkill, TDS Killer,
ADW Cleaner, SuperAntispyware, Herd Protect, Junkware Removal Tool and Free Fixer. Nothing except a few tracking cookies found by SuperAntiSpyWare and some false positives from Panda.

Have there been other reports of this issue? Is there a fix?

    Thanks

    Hi Thrash Zone,

I didn't change any settings or add or remove any software.

I did go to a Google Help site and found several posts from people who recently had the same problem. Google's response was that IE.

    @ThrashZone

I found this Google image search- page goes back to the top after selecting an - Microsoft Community.

Based on what is said in this thread what I asked about appears to be a Google problem.

    Thanks

    I haven't noticed an issue,
I always center click on image thumbnails so they open in a new tab so possibly that's why I haven't noticed any jumping,
I simply close the extra tab and continue looking
    Thanks for posting the link,
    Cheers.
