What antivirus are you using and maybe it flagged it as something suspicious and it's in quarantine

Maybe you'd be better off uninstalling IE and reinstalling as it's probably the quickest way and just go to Control Panel/Programs and Features click on Turn Windows features on or off untick the IE entry and follow instructions then remove the folder if still there and reinstall IE

Links on your Favorites Bar in Internet Explorer, are stored in the folder below. You can delete it in the folder below to remove it. :)

    C:\Users\(user-name)\Favorites\Favorites Bar

IE11 is an update, to remove it go to Control Panel>Programs and Features.

Then click View installed updates in the upper left corner, then scroll down to Microsoft Windows and IE11 should be about the 13th update down. Click on it to remove it.

    I used IE8 for a very long time before I installed IE11.

You can always install Chrome too, I prefer it over IE.

Oh I love Chrome- faster than heck, lots of add-ons. But I wanted to get a clean IE to try again. Looking fwd to "Spartan" too.
