    Google running

    Good day to all.
My wife has a laptop running windows 7,And she's complaining that google is slow to open.
Have tried all points regarding the slow google,Picked up a lot of points from here but she aint happy.

So her question is once the google page is open would it be okay to close it down to the taskbar and leave google open for numerous hours??.
Any thoughts on that Please,So I can keep my good lady happy in front of her laptop.

Many Thanks.Very Cold & Icey here today.

That would work, but it would be better to find out whats causing the slowness. Its probably something in the Startup items. What antivirus is installed?

    OK. Try a clean startup:

Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup

Now see if opening Google improves. Is it reasonable system? Good CPU,RAM, SSD etc.?

Well here we are once again.
Followed then link you gave on Brinks startup,All went okay will just have to wait to see what her indoors thinks of it.
I also did the same on my windows 7 desktop,That has a ssd as the c drive,Gave it a trial run and timed startup from off to desktop it took 50 seconds.Thought that was okay.
Would that method also be okay to work on my Windows 8.1 Acer laptop??.Please.
Once again many thanks for your help.
PS,Will also see how google improves.
    TA.

I would think the startup time would be faster on the SSD. It should be faster than Windows 8.1, even though 8.1 is a faster starting OS.
