Neowin Comments only shown in Opera Browser.

Neowin Comments only show in Opera Browser. I done all the usual checks. I think it is either my router firewall or my isp blocking the comment section for Neowin. No, I do not have any parenteral control setup.

Here the web page I am talking about
    https://www.tenforums.com/redirect-t...s-been-updated

    My isp is Comcast.

I know it is not bad stuff, I am 100% positive on that. So, please don't suggest running that stuff.

It doesn't matter if I am using Firefox in Windows 7 or Linux no neowin comments.

It also effect Google Chrome and I.E. in WIndows 7 no neowin comments in those either.

For some reason it does work in Opera

    Missing Comments?

Well those comments don't show up in any browser for me until I remove a certain domain from my HOSTS file.

If you're running any kind of ad blocker - unblock netshelter.net and the comments will display.

We are not allowed to discuss ad blocking under the Forum Rules - see #13.

I guess it's okay to talk about unblocking them.

Also check anything else that blocks domains in your other browsers. Restricted sites list and so on.

    Thank you.

I just remembered something. I think avg free might be blocking that. Avg free web blocks don't work in Opera but work in I.E., Google Chrome and Firefox. I will disable that when I boot into windows. I don't why avg thinks neowin comments are maleware.

Confirmed. It is the AVG link scanner. I didn't know why I didn't think of that first. Stopping maleware is one thing, but disabling comments that is a bug.

I am using Free Avg because it is in the top 10 or top 20 and for the most part it does what I want it to do. I have removed the avg free link scanner.

I believe the comments act more like a popup,
Because they do appear after scrolling to the bottom of the page.
Always disable extensions to trouble shoot issues.

Well that netshelter domain does appear on a few anti-tracking blocklists. (Privacy issues)

    Maybe take a look at:

    HTTP analyzer and debugger

and have a look at Links, Embedded and Scripts and check out what's listed for netshelter.

As far as I can work out it's just tracking issues.
