    Hi guys.

The spell checker has stopped working on IE11 again. I uninstalled IE11 which put back IE10. I downloaded IE11 from Microsoft Download Internet Explorer 11 - Microsoft Windows but it wouldn't install correctly. It came back with a web link that tells you sweet FA. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2872074 and Google doesn't show anything useful for kb2872074.

The spell checker doesn't appear to work in IE10 even though its enabled. I'm not sure exactly when it stopped working in IE11 so I'm not sure a system restore will help.

    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    Update:

I check system restore but it only showed 5 restore point all on the same day today 19/07/2015 with different times. I did a restore to the earliest time and that put back IE10. So the system restore is crap as I only removed IE11 20 minutes before.

I've just installed IE11 again and it installed without an error. Whether a shut down and restart made the difference I'm not sure. The spell checlker (obvious type which isn't picked up) still doesn't work.

As I've said before I have FireFox installed as a backup browser and the spell checker works on that.

Any idea why system restore didn't show a couple of days ago as it is enabled. System Restore Configuration - Enable or Disable

    Update:

I remembered before when I uninstalled IE11 it put back IE8 so I uninstalled IE11 which put back IE10. Then I uninstalled IE10 which put back IE8. I downloaded IE10 from Microsoft yet again Download Update for Internet Explorer 10 in Windows 7 (KB2859903) from Official Microsoft Download Center but when I ran it, it said "This update is not applicable to my computer" why the hell not I had it from Microsoft. I installed IE10 which I downloaded a while ago and that installed and the spell checker worked. I downloaded IE11 again from Microsoft

Download Internet Explorer 11 - Microsoft Windows

That installed ok and the spell checker is working again, so I will see how long it lasts this time.

I check system restore to check the dates and times and it said there were no system restore points I needed to make one, which I did. I have the Recovery shortcut on my desktop I will make a new restore point everyday.

I check the recover each day but nothing shows. I create a restore point each day but that doesn't show what's going wrong?

You may not have allocated enough disk space or you have it turned off. Post an image of your System Protection settings.

They should look something like this:

    Thanks for the reply.

I've NEVER turned off Restore. This is one setting I've never its 1% 905.92MB but I've never changed setting since Win7 32bit has been installed and its always worked before. I've changed it to 39% 363.29GB. I don't know why 39% has reduced this to 366.73GB from 905.92MB? I will see what happens tomorrow.

It's NOT "reduced". 366.73GB is 366,730MB or about 400 times the size you had before.

I forgot to ask: Have you run multiple malware and AV scans? Some malware is known to disable restore points through the Registry.

Yes I've run a full Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and Avast scan and nothing found.

I check Recovery today and it only showing one date 21/07/2015. Considering I manually saved a couple of restore points they don't show.

Please post an image of your System Protection screens so we can see what options you have set. (Like I have shown above.) Post one image of the first window and one of the second window for each disk drive that has protection turned on.
