Why is it taking so long to open up a page in either Mozilla or Google Chrome browser?
1. It always says Mozilla not responding.
2. Script Error
3. Stop Plugins

Too many Google Chrome being running if not too many extensions then a malware or virus can be running.
Check for csrss.exe presence.
For Firefox:
1. Try running Fx in Safe Mode: Safe Mode - MozillaZine Knowledge Base . If that helps, restart Fx, disable one-half of your extensions, restart, test; still no better, disable remaining extensions, retry. If disabling helps, start re-enabling extensions until problem is isolated.
2. Standard Diagnostics: Standard diagnostic - Firefox - MozillaZine Knowledge Base
3. Firewall and/or Anti-virus can cause problems.
4. Ten-pound sledge hammer, judiciously applied, is a known problem resolver.
I got the answer for you. You have downloaded an extension or plug-in(s) that is or are actually a malware.\
So now you are downloading more viruses or etc when you are online. Script errors are long scripts the malware is causing.
It's time to seek help to clean up the malware.
