    IE 8 Windows

I have IE 8 (this came with it) on my Windows 7 Ultimate OS.

    1. Windows always open in Minimum. Can I some how get to default the opening to Maximum? There was a time when you could choose.

    2. The minimum Windows open in random positions on the monitor screen. The top left corner a few time in exactly the same place, then the bottom right and some times in a central area position, etc. Also multiple openings will sometimes open square onto a window that has been opened completely covering the window beneath it. At other times they will slightly overlap.

    Hello Reg,

    Welcome to 7 Forums.

Right click on the shortcut for IE > properties > choose drop down list. If you have the shortcut pinned the the task bar, Rt. click on the icon and then rt. click on IE to get to properties.

    Hope this helps.

Sorry Gary and Dimitar, but how does this help either problem? I cannot see a drop down list in properties.

Did you go to the properties of the IE shortcut you use to open IE. There is a dropdown there that will allow you to have the windows open maximized. Worked here.

Gary...I appeciate your experienced help. I had forgorten that when you had selected maximum in properties in the IE icon (silly me I had looked at properties in one of the other shortcuts) it would apply to all shortcuts. Many Thanks

I do have just one other question in Sounds and Audio Section titled Start Up Sound

    Regards....Reg
