    Crapware in Chrome google saerch

recently my google search results have been infested with crapware (see attached)
dont know whats causing this, the same results in IE dont have the ads, its a fresh install of chrome so no extensions, or add ons were enabled.

tried adblock extensions too which dont seem to do anything.

when i click on the link a "Google 404 error" occures.

Computer is clean from any virus, malware etc, only happens in chrome and not firefox, ie, opera, etc etc.

    any ideas?

    Hi:

    I don't use Chrome.
But, from what I've seen in malware cleanup forums, the crapware/adware/junkware/malware in Chrome can be perpetuated from one's Google Chrome sync data.
So, reinstalling or resetting Chrome won't necessarily resolve it.

The link below shows how to clear it out.

as does this one (Option 2):

You may want to back-up your bookmarks first:
    http://www.wikihow.c...rks-from-Chrome

If that fails, you might want to seek expert help at a computer disinfection forum.
Some of this crap can be rather tough to fully remove.

    Hope this helps,

Note: I'm not a Chrome user but do know that Google have released a Beta tool to clean up Chrome. If you're feeling brave you could try it.

You could try a tool called AdwCleaner, as a chrome user myself this has helped me when I had crapware on my chrome browser. The official one is downloaded from bleepingcomputer.com and you should not download it from anywhere else.

    Download AdwCleaner

Bleeping computer also has several virus and adware removal guides which you can find Here.
