    Heads Up for Web of Trust (WOT) Users with Firefox 39

    Starting on July 5, 2015, the most recent update for WOT;

    If you can no longer open hyperlinks in gmail check your WOT add-on. There has been a new re-issue of the 20150705 update today and it still carries the date-stamp 20150705 on your add-ons tab, but open the More link where it is listed to check and make sure the date is Monday, July 06, 2015.

    If it is not re-install the add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...browsing-tool/

    I only mentioned gmail because that is what we use, if you use a different web-mail service and you are having problems disable WOT to check. This may also affect any Firefox forks, I didn't have this problem with IE10.

    Looking at the support forum there may be two more problems with the 20150705 update:

    • WOT has been crashing Firefox39 for some users.

    • The add-on does not auto-refresh itself when tabs are switched.

    I don't have the first problem, but I do have the second. Look for a new update.

    Looks like they fixed the tab problem

    The update checker on the add-on/extensions page didn't work so I had to D/L'd from the WOT site, the one in the quote. Let the D/L do its thing and restart FF; My new version stamp is 20150708 - Wednesday July 08, 2015
