I have Flash v18.0.0.209, updated on 07/14/2015 and it crashes under FF v39. I'm no longer getting the "blocked" error message, but just the crash message when trying to play Flash video. Not a biggie, I'll just wait for something to work itself out.
Did you first remove any earlier versions of Flash before installing 18.0.0.209? If not, use the Adobe uninstall program, then reinstall: link in on this page:

    https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player...er_uninstaller

This should always be done before updating Flash.

If you did, then first try turning off hardware acceleration in Fx; if that does not work, then in the Flash plugin (NOT an extension, a plugin) in Fx, turning off "Enable Adobe Flash protected mode" in the plugin's Options.
Nope, just did an update. Did the uninstall and the reinstall using your link. V18.0.0.209 now works even with hardware acceleration on and Enable Adobe Flash Protected Mode on. Looks like a bad update. I'll do the uninstall prior to update from now on. Thanks.

Lol oddly enough that was all I was originally looking for... However after the good people here offering up help and suggestions turns out that I do have specific problems.

@Not Myself: Your correct I was not aware of what FF is actually doing when it is loading until I looked at the connections and going by the new information I have it makes sense that it would work like that.

@Callender: Thanks for the information I read all of the links you gave and the FF33 start up issue thread more or less hit the nail on the head... FF is now working as it should be and loading up at a reasonable rate! I used the flash uninstall tool and checked in those two system areas for remnants after re-booting then reinstalled flash, even after doing that though there was no noticeable change... It then dawned upon me that you both mentioned that FF connects to Google this is actually where my specific problem lies, I think I have mentioned this elsewhere on the forum that my ISP at times filters / blocks certain services and websites the main ones being, Google, YouTube, Western Based .gov and news sites. Also if you change the DNS to Googles after 10mins or so they kill your connection, they don't do this all the time I suspect it is more down to them easing the load on the network at times...

Rather than going through and disabling anything in FF that is connecting to Google I instead dug out a modem from a different ISP and FF is now working as it should be... the changes between V37 and V39 highlighted a problem I never knew existed, when the previous ISP decides to remove their filter again I am sure FF will work the same as it is now with the different ISP, this could be in a few hours or a few days... just one of the many "joys" of living in an Eastern country lol

Thank you guys for all the information and pointers as without that I would still have been cursing FF and flash wondering what the hell was going on...
