Windows 7. Internet Browsers only work in safe mode with networking

OK, so I got some kind of malware/virus where i kept getting the same "important security alert" pop-up every time I clicked on something. So, I ran a system restore thinking that it would take care of it. Well, it didnt. On top of that, after I completed the system restore, my internet browsers now only work in safe mode. I definitely have an internet connection and when I try to run the automatic troubleshooting it says there is nothing wrong with the connection. After that, I downloaded Super AV and malwarebytes and ran them. They found a ton of stuff and I got rid of it. Still, my internet browsers would only work in safe mode. So, I looked on this forum and read about a clean startup. So i used msconfig, hid all the microsoft processes and disabled all the remaining applications. Still, no internet browser. Then, I read having two anti virus applications can cause this problem. So, I uninstalled my Norton 360 that had long since expired. Nothing. Uninstalled Super AV and malwarebytes. Still nothing. I have no idea what it could be. If someone could give me some guidance I would really appreciate it. Ive surfed every forum I could find and tried everything that my level of computer expertise allowed. Now Im at the point that I don't want to screw anything up.

Very similar problem here. I can't be sure weather or not this started happening after uninstalling spyhunter or not but so far i've tried everything i can think of to fix the issue. I've done scans with many known malware/adware suites but can't get a clue to whats going on.

By the way, Do your browsers work if run as administrator ?
