    Win live mail problem

I had saved a Master Copy of all my e-mail storage folders on the "C" Drive.

Win live mail programme was deleted after a message appeared saying that there were file (files) corrupted
Win live mail was downloaded again and installed - no problems -

The Master copy of my e-mail storage folders was imported from the "C" Drive and it appeared to have transferred everything across at least I could not find anything adrift until I looked at the WLM display .

There was a Heading in Bold saying STORAGE FOLDERS , then underneath more headings "drafts" "sent items" "deleted items" then 5 of my storage folders were displayed followed by another heading "deleted items" and then another heading "Imported folder 2"and that followed by a list of the rest of my storage folders.

How do I get rid of this "Imported Folder 2" Heading so that I only have one heading "STORAGE FOLDERS"

I believe that if I delete "Imported Folder 2" I will delete all my storage folders ?

Any advice would be much appreciated

Just a suggestion: make the changes outside of the email client. On C: open Users- your username- appdata - local -microsoft - windows live mail. You should see all the folders you mentioned in your post. Look in Storage Folders to see what it contains.

From there you can create a new folder if you need to and also move all your mail from the Imported 2 Folder to Storage Folders. If you need to move a lot of mail entries from one folder to another, it is easier from there as you can use edit/select all/move to folder. The 'move to' function in the email client itself only allows you to move one email item at a time. When the Imported 2 Folder is empty, delete it.

Keep the WLM mail client closed while you do this. Hope it works for you.

Thank you again for your advice.
I tried your suggestion and it went some of the way to fix my problem
I made a new folder for all the storage folders as you suggested/ Imported it into my WLM and this was the result :-
    STORAGE FOLDERS (HEADING)
    Drafts
    Sent Items
    Deleted Items
    Imported Folder
    Recovered Items

No list of storage folders show up unless I click on Imported Folder

I thought when I opened the WLM the list of storage folders automatically should appear?

Another point is when I make a new storage folder through the WLM Menu and save it to the Storage Folder List it appears as a Folder directly under deleted items? This is confusing I thought this would go directly alpha list within the existing storage folders?
Appreciate your thoughts on this issue
    Thank You

    Further to my last e-mail.
When the PC is rebooted and WLM is opened any new Storage Folders that previously were saved now appear under the Heading RECOVERED ITEMS ?
    I am baffled !

Recovered items contains messages that got orphaned at some stage, where the message database lost track of which folder a message is in. If the messages it contains are present in their proper account folders, you can delete the ones in Recovered items. The program will normally delete them itself if the message database managed to sort itself out. Unless you're short of disk space, just ignore the folder.

This might help: How to Import a Windows Live Mail Recovered Folder

If the situation is worse than before you made the changes, you can go to Properties and restore WLM to a previous state. I think it goes back about 2 weeks in total.
