I have had a question in regards to my cach. For some reason my Malware program blocked all of it. Thank you anyway. I am new to windows 7. I have Mozilla Firefox on my computer. How do I save a page to book marks. In windows XP I used to just right click and put it on my desk top. In all when I go to control panel, I don't know were to go to do anything

It would help to know: what version of Firefox are you running?
(Other helpful info would be any installed themes or extensions...)

But this should help to get you started on bookmarks:

Create bookmarks to save your favorite webpages

Please post back and let us know if this resolves your issue,

See BookmarkSorter add on for Firefox:

I've been using it for a while.

I am sorry about all the information that has been sent to help me. I am not computer literate. Some of the information is confusing to me. I just did not understand all the downloads I had to do in order to make it work for me. I used to have XP. When ever I needed to save a page of some sort,I would just right click, then put it on my desk top, after that I would put them in a new folder. I had to many Icons on my desk top. I am looking for something similar to that XP
If you want to save a bookmark on your desktop or into a specific folder:

Start Firefox. Bookmark a page. On the toolbar click "Bookmarks"

From there you should be able to work out how to view saved bookmarks.

When you find the bookmark you want - resize Firefox window so that you can see part of your desktop. Click and drag the bookmark.

I'm not sure why you want to look at Control Panel. Please explain.

    Hi, @vorley:

In addition to @Callender's excellent advice, did you look at this link:

Create bookmarks to save your favorite webpages

It explains in very simple terms, and it demonstrates with a video and with animation how to click the star in the Firefox toolbar to create a bookmark. (I thought that was the original question you were asking: how do I create a bookmark in Firefox?)

Then if you want to change the name or location of a bookmark, it explains how to do that, too.
(You can also use @Callender's instructions for dragging a bookmark to your desktop, if that's where you want it.)

Using a 3rd-party extension, such as Bookmark Sorter, is not really required or necessary. If it's too confusing for you to use that extension, then just skip that. It was just @Callender's suggestion to help organize and sort your bookmarks.

    I hope this helps,
    MM

How do I save a page to book marks.
hit ctrl + D. Then click save.

If you don't want it where the box offers to save it, click the down arrow aside of Folder and change the folder location.

If you want to change or shorten the name, do this before you click save. You can do it later but it is easier to make the changes before it is saved.
