    Google Chrome/ windows 7 and bookmarks


    I am going to replace my two 500gb internal drives in my desktop with 1T drives. I will be reinstalling windows 7 pro as OS. Is there a need to backup all my bookmarks/favorites any longer? or does google just rebuild them once I fire up the new machine and log into gmail.

    Hi, if you have sync setup in chrome then as soon as you sign into your account all your bookmarks and settings will be resynched back to your pc. Just give it a minute or two and they will appear.

i performed a deep full scan on my windows 7 laptop through chkdsk after that my google chrome icon had disappeared on my desktop and my taskbar so i went online and got the file again..installed it now all my bookmarks have gone is there a way i can retrieve them i never synced them with...

How do I transfer over my google chrome browser 'bookmarks' from my old xp computer to my new w/7 computer? I don't know just yet what browser I'll be using on my new computer. Not having experienced IE8, I might go back to using google chrome browser.
