Internet working in Safe Mode not in normal mode

I'm using windows 7 64-bit operating system with internet explorer 11, and Firefox. I can use my browsers while in safe mode to upload / download information. However, after starting windows normally the browsers no longer work, that is, when I start IE I get the "This page cannot be displayed" message even though the url is microsoft.com and Firefox give me the Mozilla Crash Reporter form. I've checked the internet connection in network and sharing and see the connection is made; also when I run MS Security Essentials it gets the current updates. So it seems that it is just a browser issue. Thought someone might have an idea of how I can get my browsers working again.

    Hi!

Did you solve your problem ?

    Press [Windows key] + [R]
    Type: cmd
    In command line, type:

    Code:
    ping www.google.com

    What does it say?

    Hello,

You can try to make a fresh install of portable Firefox (totally independant from existing Firefox on your PC).
see: Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition | PortableApps.com - Portable software for USB, portable and cloud drives

You just have to specify a folder where you want to install.
...and run it from this folder (not from the usual icon).

    Good luck !

Do you have an up to date antivirus and malwares protection ?
