    mail backup

Hi, just hoping someone can help with a backup question. I downloaded windows mail which has automatically extracted the saved windows mail files and brought them into windows live mail. I have just created a windows 7 recommended backup to my external hard drive and also created a system image. As far as the default settings go, I am not sure if this will back up my emails and if not as i suspect, where they are filed to browse and include the folders in my back up.
Any advise on using windows backup and system image would be appreciated too as i have always used norton ghost!

Thanks in advance for any replies.

    Hi and welcome Andy

There are several ways to back up your emails. Using win 7 backup is the most difficult to use because it only does Images not files or folder individually.

What I do is use a 3rd party app to back up the emails every 4 hours. that app is static windows mail backup.
I also when I do a system image back up email then.

I use Acronis as my backup app

    Hope this helps
