    No Squint

whs, I had very bad eyes a couple of years ago. I waited as long as I could before having my cataracts removed, because I was high risk. A little FF ad on really helped me. It's call No Squint and it lets you adjust the fonts and the zoom level. You might try that.

Thanks Emmar. I'll have a look. My problem is a Macula degeneration. No glasses can correct that. I just don't see enough.

    Just FYI:

Macular degeneration runs in my family. I'm 60 and don't have any signs of it... yet.

Though my eyes are all screwed up due to Horner's Syndrome - I am a desktop guy all the way...

Yeah I get the injections (since 5 years) - both Lucentis and Avastin. But it did not really help any. I stopped the shots now because they seem to be just a nuisance.

whs, sorry to hear that. I was lucky with my risky eye. They removed the cataract but the eye could not be improved with glasses. At least it won't get any worse. Thankfully my right eye was good and my eye sight in that one is almost perfect.

I still use No Squint especially for coloring the background instead of looking at the stark white MS insists on using.

Thanks, but I am OK. I manage and got used to the situation. What is really bothering me is that I cannot drive. That would be too dangerous. The wife is my driver. In Germany that is a bit difficult because her being American she is not used to going the speeds we go on the Autobahn (between 100 and 120 MpH). So we are either a constant obstacle in the left lane or trotting behind the trucks in the right lane. The others cannot pass on the right lane. That is an immediate loss of your license in Germany.

I'll bet the shots are a nuisance, to say no more. We carry on as best we can...
