Can't add new email account to outlook 2010

I have a total of 4 different email accounts, 3 I have had for some time now. The fourth one is new, and I can not for the life of me get it to work. When I add it as a new email account, it get to the part where it want's to log on to server and send a test message, I get a pop up asking me to enter my user name and password for the following server, over and over again. I have not had these issues with my other accounts, and I know the password is correct because I use the same password for all of my accounts. I have tried to add this new account numerous times to no avail. I have double checked everything in both my outlook account as well as my online comcast.net account.

    Help please,
    Tina

Try changing your user name to something else. It's possible the user name you are using is already being used by someone else on that email server.

Tried that didn't work. I am also having trouble with saving it on my comcast.net site. It keeps going to my main email as the user name, no matter what I change it to, it always goes back to the same thing.

Are you trying to use a second email account from the one email provider. Contact comcast.net & see if they can help you setting it up.

I already tried that, and they were no help at all. I'll just keep playing with it, and eventually I will figure it out. Thank you for your assistance though.

Thanks for getting back, sorry I could not be of more help, but I think the problem is trying to have 2 email accounts with the one provider. perhaps it might be worth looking at setting up a new provider for this account.
