One of the main reasons I do not like Chrome that and they removed the custom install so you can select do not make it default...
I never get that, I was asked once and clicked don't ask again. I've been using Chrome for a few years and it's never been the default browser.

How many times have you reinstalled it Derek ?
Like I said Chrome used to have a custom install where you could uncheck what ever you wanted too
Now it just installs with no options until after
I did install Chrome in win-10 it had no custom install.

A few times, the most recent was last month on this clean install of 10,

Cannot set IE11 as default browser-2016-04-21_21h35_15.png

It never tried to hijack the default setting, it asked if I wanted it to be and I unchecked that.

It asked again after install and I just clicked don't ask again.
