Email from Bing - New Balls Please

I received this email today in my Live in-box. 'New Balls Please'. The sender: Bing

I am concerned that it might be malicious. Has anyone else received it?

On a Google search I got only one hit. The person who received the same email opened it and said it was empty. Odd.

Empty emails from unexpected sources are generally a bad thing - my suggestion is to delete and run a deep scan with whatever Anti-Malware you prefer.

My thinking on this is if you delete something that is important the the sender is likely to resend / try other methods - if they don't it wasn't that important

I assume that an authentic email from Bing would actually show the author as Microsoft.

I chose not to open this email. I expect as long as it is not opened it is harmless. Yes?
However, as you suggested I will run both an AV scan and a anti-malware scan.
