What is a good browser for Vista?

Yea I know this is a w7 forum but this is where the smart people are:).

My internet computer is still on Vista and google chrome does not support it any more and Internet explorer doesn't work so well anymore. Are there any options left?

    You can try SlimJet:

    http://www.slimjet.com/en/press/chro...t-xp-vista.htm

    You'd need version 10.0.8

    Index of /release/archive

Portable version if you want to test is sjt7z_x86.exe

    Installer setup is sjtsetup_x86.exe

EDIT: Forget that. Apparently Vista is still supported in the latest version.

See FAQ's: Frequently asked questions about Slimjet

Firefox is just about the only moderately used browser still supporting both Vista and XP. It's also my personal fav.

I'd go for FireFox too. Also my personal favorite.

Here is a good discussion on other browsers for Vista on the other forum. MY Vista will stop receiving Google Chrome updates soon...

I don't know if any of this will work because it may not be supported

You can try installing chromium on vista.
You will need to install the chocolatey package manager.

    https://chocolatey.org/install

After installing chocolatey package manager open a new administrative command prompt type
    Code:
    choco install chromium
Again, I am not sure if Chromium & chocolatey package manager is supported in vista.

You don't have to uninstall your google chrome when installing Chromium browser

    Thanks guys.

I am using Firefox now and it seems very good. This computer kept getting slower and slower then yesterday trying to reinstall google toolbar I was over run with hijacked software offering to scan my computer and fix all the errors. I was forced to reinstall a backup OS from 2014. Now I seem to be back up to speed.

It seems to me the internet has become a extension of vulture capitalism. It's dog eat dog anymore.

Agree. Remember the only way to be safe in the virtual world is to disconnect yourself to the Internet, It doesn't matter how strong your A/V is there will be always one thing that will sneak in your system that we may not know.
