windows media player wont launch when links clicked in IE11
had some bad virus a week ago got that cleaned up and now when I click on a video link that should open windows media play it does not
it worked until my computer got infected I have windows 7 and Ie 11 it works if I use firefox but I prefer ie11 I reset ie11 and still no go windows media player is set to paly all formats and is the default player it plays any formats it should the only way I can get links to play is to 'save target as" save it then play it that way but that's a PITA hope someone can help! |

Windows won't remember links I have clicked on. WHY???? Windows won't remember any links that I click on anymore. After the last update I can no longer see the links that I have already looked at. Before it would keep the link highlighted purple and links I have not looked at would stay blue.:mad: WHAT GIVES??? |

Links opening in Media Player I have managed to associate the ".lnk" file extension with Windows Media Player, now all my shortcuts want to open with Windows Medial Player. Is there any way I can reverse this? |

Why wont the media player or the media centre play MP4's? Is there a good reason why MS don't equip either the media centre or the media player with the ability to play MP4's. I don't see why they can't play them,and surely it would be in MS's best interest if they could play them. |
