Have you recently increased your display size, say from 100% to 125% or even higher?

Okay, I'm not sure if this applies to your situation, check it out: http://How to Reset Open and Save As Common Item Dialog Boxes to Default in Windows | www.tenforums.com/tutorials You might want to check those reg values manually.

Are you using 7's native program to open/save zips or do you use a third-party program?

should be native but may have 7 zip somewhere too.
Yes have 7zip but has no association with .zip files in settings

Try associating 7zip to see if it gives you the save/as option again.
I hesitate to offer this, but at the bottom of the list here: Default File Type Associations - Restore there is a restore zip reg file, if you try it backup your registry: Registry - Backup and Restore

I'm running out of ideas I may have to ask for more help.
