I tried em client. The Bcc was still not working.
Bcc is useful. I have generally used it to copy myself rather than rely on the sent folder. It does have important uses also when used appropriately. In some cases some parties want to see the email correspondence but not actively involved in the exchange - It's not some form of Machiavellianism.

Live Mail and I'm sure Outlook has this feature working well until Live Mail has been effectively ditched.

I got this from a Mozilla support site:
"You can not use BCC with Outlook or Hotmail as I prefer to call it. It works using their web interface, but when sending via an SMTP server (theirs) they strip the BCC information."

Do you know how many people have hotmail accounts ~500 million plus. MS if you don't want to support your Live Mail software don't stuff up other email client server providers when many have their email as a hotmail (outlook.com) account.

Yep well as of last evening I cannot get my hotmail via WLM am really cranky about the whole damn issue.

I can get it through TB but it is so irritating as I have a lot of stuff stored in my past messages.

I did post a thread giving the error messages but no real answers as yet.

Have tried deleting the account and reinstalling it and even uninstalling and reinstalling WLM all no good and I reckon Microsoft have a lot to answer for what they are doing - a shameful use of the power they wield, plus I cannot even get my past stuff through Outlook which to me is an abhorrence of an app

Well thanks very much Microsoft now each machine with WLM on it does not load any messages or receive any on my main account - hotmail no matter how I try. The account that is provided by my ISP does work but I want the hotmail account!!

Now I have emails I have in the inbox that that came from my financial people, EBaY , family , sent activation codes etc that I have to find a way to either get WLM going again or at least save a lot somehow. Honestly I am so sick of the way that M$ treats us like this I just wish I could use the Linux system a little better than I can

    J
This is why I moved to Thunderbird and accept the Bcc limitation.
If you don't care about using a desktop client (like I do) then just use hotmail/outlook.com over the internet.

I'm still using Thunderbird at the moment. I even gave them a donation that they didn't acknowledge

Ok mate well I have accepted the inevitable and am using TB and I am also getting hotmail with Outlook.

Now I am now trying to find how to pin it (Outlook) to the taskbar and as Chrome uses Bookmarks the last added site always goes to the back of a very long line of favourites I keep - there is no way that I have found yet to get it to appear either on the taskbar or the front of my favourites bar but I am not going to give up there has to be a way.

Well have found a sort of fix only it has to be in the favourites bar in Chrome.

You just login with Outlook and Bookmark it to the Bookmarks bar then find it and click and drag it up the list into the favourites bar - if the favourites bar is full when you get to the top you just need to delete a few that you don't use much at all until the Outlook is in that top favorites bar. It is then just a matter of click and drag it to the front of the queue see pic.

Now in the pic you can see it has Cc and Bcc I just bookmarked the free out look email service see small pic now I am going to add my secondary account with bigpond to it. At least it is better than what Microsoft has decided in their infinite wisdom has got us pulling our hair out.
