WLM - keeps deleting all my emails - Help!

All of a sudden, when i open WLM all the emails in my inbox, sent, deleted and other folders i have created are deleted. Instead WLM loads 819 'unread feeds' from Microsoft, NHS Choices and Mahmood Al Quadsi???

Luckily i back up but if i manage to replace the newly-created store folder with the back up files WLM just obliterates them again. If i remove the storage folder and then open WLM, much the same happens except that WLM creates a new folder with the following structure and some flies/folders in blue??

And my email account window is now empty.

    Can anyone please help?

Hello autolycus mate as support for WLM has now stopped have you tried another email server such as Thunderbird or even Outlook - both can be made to look like WLM.

Try one of those adding your account to it see what happens I personally prefer WLM but it's flogging a dead horse I'm afraid the free Outlook does have ads but small price to pay TB on the other hand doesn't.

Thanks for the reply ICIT2LOL. It seems to be working again after i cleanly reinstalled WLM and imported (rather than copied and pasted) my backup files. Unfortunately it took a lot of work to manually restore the old directory system and for some reason i need to close WLM now before running Syncback. The problem MAY have arisen because i was using a directory on a different HDD as my storage folder and it seems this drive was showing a lot of faults in event viewer. After a process of elimination, I changed the sata cable to that dive and all now seems well. I did use a free third-party client after the demise of OE and before i discovered WLM, but it was somewhat buggy. I'll bear in mind your suggestions for the future.

That's good and lucky mate because I tried that and got nowhere so support for WLM out here for me at least has gone. The alternatives I mentioned yes keep them in mind and it is as simple as setting up WLM with accounts etc but you will have to play around with the GUI as the defaults are well default for want of a better term.
Oh as for setting up the accounts you will find that setting them in Outlook and TB all you need to do is enter and set it up and the mail will automatically download - in my case it took a very long time
