Windows 7: Need to set new default browser in FP2003 and if so, how?

Need to set new default browser in FP2003 and if so, how?

Last week, I opened my trusty copy of FrontPage 2003 after a couple months of non-use, and when I opened a page I made, which is online and appears just fine, no images appeared, even in Preview mode. All that shows are little black boxes with an x in them. Placeholders?

After some fumbling and stumbling, it was suggested to me to go to File-->Preview in Browser and change from IE to Chrome (or whatever). That worked, but you have to click on "Preview" in the "Preview in Browser" pop-up box to see the images (which are in a dedicated file on a website) and you cn't use the Prview tab at the bottom left corner of the FrontPage page.

Am I missing some setting or other? Isn't there a simple fix for this?

Thanks for your interest and help.
