Save as option opens slow with Chrome

google chrome lastest and greatest installed with windows 7 pro. this is has been occurring past couple weeks when i use chrome and do a save as on a image or item doesnt matter the site. when the save as option is selected it opens the downloads folder extremely slow like 20 or 30 seconds maybe longer then finally opens. not sure what the heck happened to my system. I renamed the user date folder for google chrome under username\appdata to old and made chrome create a new folder that didnt work, i created a new path for chrome downloads that didnt work, i turned network discovery that didnt work, i turned off unneeded shares for local drives and external drives that didnt work. not sure what else to try. maybe external drive making this an issue. i have tried searching for other fixes none work. I ran sfc scannow that didnt work.

    Just a thought.

Maybe Avast AV is slowing things down.

    Please correct your system specs.

    From your specs.

    Internet Speed 100mb Time warner
Antivirus Avast AV free trial and Malwarbytes
    Browser FF, IE and chrome
Other Info External USB 3.0 hard drives
I don't use Chrome so I will just sit back and wait for a Chrome uses to help you.
