    You don't "transfer".

You export from one and import to the other. Both browsers have built-in import/export functions.

For a one off go into the bookmarks/favorites manager in the browser and use the export option

If you are using both browsers on a regular basis and wish to synchronise the lists have a look at Xmarks

    Click on favourites

Click the arrow next to the add to favourites

    Click on Import and export

    Select import from another browser

    click next

    select Firefox and follow prompts.

To go the other way save to an HTML file and in firefox select import bookmarks from file and select the file you saved

Firefox is easy. Just click File > Import and choose the browser from which you want to import the bookmarks.
