Why do I not receive mail from a specific person?

I was supposed to get an email for my future job and it didn't show up anywhere. What should I do to make sure that I get it tomorrow when they send it again to me? I added x@x.x to safe senders and also x.x (without the @ and stuff before it). But so far that's the only thing that I can do :S

This is an original topic I made (I have someone set up desktop outlook now, I assume it works since I do get emails I send from the net to myself, even tho what pops up upon opening the desktop outlook still is popping up) URGENT. 2nd - Microsoft Community

    Welcome
Your question is a bit unique, based on our common questions and you may not get too many people trying to help. If that is the case let me offer my suggestions. There are some email destinations that refuse to accept mail from certain address. The reason for this is that there has been a history of spam or worse coming from that source. If that is the case, you should try adding the address to safe senders, as you mentioned that you did.

I would check my spam folder. Maybe it was picked up as spam.

Finally, you may want to have a CC sent to an alternate address, which you can set up now. Not with the same service. I have found Gmail very dependable.

    Let us know what happens.

I do wish you the best, I remember the feelings that I had with new jobs.

Are you sure that the other person actually sent the email in the first place?
(it's not uncommon recruiters to simply ignore candidates that won't get hired instead of replying to them).

Other than that, adding them to "safe list" will make him immune to anti-spam and similar crap and make sure it'll end up in inbox. However, check spam folder anyway, as the message might have arrived before adding him to the safe list.
