    error code 0x800CCC0F essentials 2011 [wlm 2010]

Have been experiencing the error code for about two weeks. 0F- disconnects from mail [outlook]
I've visited numerous sites for a fix. Nothing works. Even the Essentials 2011 repair tool doesn't work. At about 50-55% there is usually a pop up box 'an error occurred and mail must close' and then at 98% there's a pop up box 'no internet connection' and repair stops. Retry button doesn't work. I have to retry with a fresh tool reload.
Connections to outlook are IMAP/SMTP since the changes last year. I receive mail but a chore to send. Sometimes I get the error message, sometimes I don't. When I do, the bottom of the home page is - not connected to IMAP-mail.outlook.com [but not always] Sometimes I get odd pop up boxes. Sometimes outlook returns deleted mail as new mail. I have 'check for mail' set a 15 minutes. It connects and checks for mail.
I'm at a point of totally uninstalling essentials 2011 but wlm2010, essentials 2011, wlm2012 are no longer supported and no longer available for download from MS.
Will downloading wlm2012 from a third party work? Anyone have experience with this? Has anyone had any good experiences with third party 'fix the registry' sites?

I have experience can't access outlook email folder while setting up new imap account.

Eventually i have found out that the old imap setting, imap-mail.outlook.com doesn't work anymore, according to this wiki article provided by Microsoft Community https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/wiki/livemail-email/windows-live-mail-and-outlook-mail/6edb5ba6-f9f2-40fd-80a1-fc23cc6fbfe0.

My is Windows Live Mail 2012 and by configure the new imap setting now i can send and receive email without problem, contact also sync but the calendar can't sync anymore.

    You can try it.

With much thanks to matfx, the problem has been resolved.
It looks like MS/outlook neglected to inform users that there was a change of address.
For anyone having a problem with the 0F error, here's the fix.
On the main page, switch from 'home' to 'accounts', click 'properties', click 'server' tab, change 'incoming' from imap-mail.outlook.com to outlook.office365.com click 'apply'. Folders will be updated in seconds. Send/receive operates flawlessly.
essentials 2011 repair tool still doesn't work. I suspect it's because it's no longer supported and disconnected.
    Again, thanks matfx
