E Mail Help

I have Windows 7 and Windows live Mail. I have been having problems with WLM so I thought I would try Outlook. My E Mail is (@Bellsouth.net ). Outlook wants a IMAP server and ATT uses POP 3. So that won't work. Which E Mail programs use POP 3 ? We can't very well change our E Mail address.

This MS website might help you. There is a link down at the bottom on how to use POP3 with IMAP.

I tried to set up Windows Live Mail when it first came out, and I found it a PITA to set up and then it looked like crap on the screen. So I've never used it again, and none of my hundreds of of customers use it either.

I use either Windows Mail or O.E.Classic and GMail, for all 5 of my email addresses, which can be set up at GMail.com as pop3.

Using Windows Mail and GMail, is as close to bullet-proof as possible.

I know....Windows Mail is disabled in Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, by MS.
Why? Well that's something you'd have to ask MS. Makes NO sense to me!

But there is a pretty easy fix:
I just went into the Program Files/Windows Mail folder and deleted all the files in that folder.
Then I replaced those files with the same files from Windows Vista. After a re-boot, Windows Mail works perfectly in Win-7. (that also works for Windows Mail in Win-8.1 & 10).

For the millions of us who used Outlook Express for well over a decade and found it simple and easy to use, Windows Mail is a work-alike, look-alike. And, for several years now, I've had NO problems with it.

Cheers Mates!
