Yahoo is working on a new email platform and is encouraging users to switch. I receive a link in the lower left corner when I open my email account.

Whenever Yahoo rolls out a "new and improved" email I've always experienced glitches for the first few months. This might be what you're experiencing. Another thought is how large is the attachment? I think that Yahoo imposes a 25MB maximum size limit on emails including any attachments.

If it's any consolation I've been experiencing issues with both the old format and new format emails. Some of my "glitches" include: emails not being sent (timing out); draft emails not showing up in Draft folder; receiving random "no internet connection" notices; trying to sign out of my only Yahoo email account and receiving prompt to add another Yahoo email; fonts changing for no apparent reason while composing emails; and the list goes on.

The only other suggestion I have is to post your issues with the Yahoo Help Community forum. They have some knowledgeable volunteers and the occasional visit by an actual Yahoo email support staff member.
