    Links opening in new window

Have just switched to IE11 form Firefox and the email with the forum link comes through ok but clicking on it opens a new window not just a tab.

Having issues with broadband at the moment so will check back later or tomorrow but any ideas welcome. .

John, don't know if this is what you're looking for mate, but after you Open IE 11 go to Internet Options. On the first dialog box make sure you're on the General Tab. Click on the Tabs button about half way down on the right side. Another dialog box should open with several tab options. The one I think you want is near the bottom: "Open links from other programs in:" with 3 choices: (1) a new window; (2) A new tab in the current window; or, (3) The current tab or window. Select number 2 and see if that helps. Click OK and close dialog boxes. I usually restart to make sure changes take hold. If this isn't what you're looking for or if I misunderstood your question, my sincerest apologies.

Yes mate I have tried all of the settings using first home page new tab in current window and maximise minimise etc etc but doesn't want a bar of it.

Never mind cos I am thinking of upgrading to 10 and then putting 7 on as a dual boot only thing is it is going to cost one way or the other.
