IE 11 opens a new tab everytime

    IE 11 opens a new tab everytime


    Hey
    So today after doing a fresh OS install noticed something different with IE11,it opens a new tab to Microsoft every time which is really annoying



    How do i stop this ?

    Have you had a look at Internet Options in Control Panel. This allows you to change & set up various options that might suit you. You can also set your home page choice as well.

    Yeah I've already used google as the default page even tried blocking the site without any good.Are they forcing it through a new windows update ?

    Hi Everyone, I had this a few months ago when I reinstalled, and I unchecked most of the offerings apart

    from a couple of things, then clicked install now, and after that finished just changed the

    homepage and it was gone. I hope this helps.

    I forgot to mention before, I was reading about this at the time I reinstalled, and I read that IE11 has not

    completely installed until you do the above step.

    Hi VXER, On the left click on the plus sign so it changes to a minus for the extras that you do not wish to

    install. Everyone is different. I did not install free anti-virus as I have my own, or Adobe as I do not use

    Adobe. The only things I left ticked were Windows Firewall and Windows Update. I hope this makes sense.
