    Internet Explorer Browser Web Cache

I use Pale Moon as my primary browser. I have unchecked Internet Explorer from the Programs & Features, yet I still get many megs of "web cache" files in AppDataMicrosoft.
I know CCleaner gets rid of the files but, I have no understanding of why they are there in the first place. I would like to be enlightened.

Just wondering if I have bad breath and that's the reason for no responses.

It's because it's too complicated to explain.

    See thread here:

    IE10 uses WebcacheV01.dat vs index.dat files. How to clear/delete? - Page 6 - Windows 7 Help Forums

    Based on information here:

Forensic analysis of the ESE database in Internet Explorer 10 | Forensic Focus - Articles

I found that it is possible to delete certain databases on boot to prevent the file from being fully rebuilt but really it's a waste of time.
