Removal of Google Chrome on Win 7 laptop disabled EXE [Solved]

During a Ccleaner update Google Chrome was installed on my Win 7 Acer netbook .. I then uninstalled Google Chrome because I use Fire Fox.. Now my laptop still boots Win 7 however none of my programs run and I cannot access system restore..

I didn't realize if I uninstalled Google Chrome it would disable my Win 7 computer..

I tried the following quick fix however the EXE problem is still on the laptop..

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...a-or-windows-7

    Thanks in Advance..

During boot press F8. Repair Your Computer and launch a restore point before Ccleaner update.

Not sure what you mean by repair computer??

System Restore will not run to launch a restore point..

The laptop is will not run programs in SAFE MODE....

Piriform support sent me a email and recommend use a Win 7 repair utilities CD and reset the system restore point to a time before the Google Chrome installation....

I didn't say to to boot in Safe Mode.
I said that, if you press F8 during boot, it will open a window with many options (Normal, Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Network etc)
One of those options is repair your computer. Under repair, one of the options is to go back to a restore point.
Launch a restore point before Ccleaner update.

I didn't see the Repair option...

Did a system restore. Win 7 successfully restored...

    Thanks..
