    Add current location to Favorites

If I go into Windows Explorer and I click on "my documents".
then in the left pane at the very top is the word "favorites". If I right click on that, it gives me the choice "add current location to favorites". I click on that.
    But it doesn't add it!
    I did chkdsk c: /f
    and
    sfc/scannow

I restarted the computer and it worked for a few days and stopped again.

    I have a favorites folder in c:/users/name/

Is this problem related to the following problem. If I'm on a website and I want to "add to favorites", I get "Internet explorer has stopped working...."

BUT if I had to favorites bar, it's fine.

    so I have two problems.

I don't understand why you need put My Documents in Favourites when you already have My Documents available to make any selection you need from there.

The "Add to Favourites" in Internet Explorer is to add them to Favourites in Internet Explorer. If you click on the Star at the top RH corner of IE it will open Favourites that have been saved in IE. The intention of Add to Favourites in IE is so that when you are on the internet you can open any favoured website that you have saved to Favourites within IE. It is not intended for "Adding to Favourites" in Windows Explorer.

It is quicker for me to "add current location to favorites" in "windows explorer" than to click on a folder and it's subfolder and then another subfolder. I maintain files for myself and for my father and the files I use frequently are quicker to get to that way. However, that did not answer my problem so......

That also did not answer my other problem of being "IN" "internet explorer" and clicking the menu button "add to favorites" and ie then crashing on me.
