Strange Issues - Lost saved logins, etc

Until few hrs back every thing was fine... as FF crashed while I was on a private browser, I restarted it & my AV started popping up msgs stating root certificates need to be installed & FF has to be closed for that to run, I said No at the start but as it kept on bugging me, I said Ok. But I didn't see any installer running, thought it was an background process as I saw an file as installer.exe running in task manager. I tried opening browser multiple times had the same issues again. Got tired of it... So closed my browser.

My system was giving up no space in Drive error when I tried to execute few programs later on. Even VLC wouldn't play saying unable to locate file & giving multiple other errors. Media Player Classic was able to play the files after throwing error msgs at the start stating bad destructor or something of that sorts. I tried running sfcscan, it wouldn't run. Malwarebytes wouldn't run stating rootkit scan was not possible & needed restart. While, I was able to run Bitdefender scan though, it stopped mid-way when I had opened up multiple scans on if it - Entire System Scan & 1 drive scan. Fed up of all this, I rebooted my lappy.

It was quite slow to begin with.. thought the issues were still bugging. All the other programs were opening fine, including VLC & etc.. but FF again popped up the root cert msg, I said no. To my shock, I noticed all my saved logins missing & sites were asking me for the logins. Honestly, I hardly remember half of my logins, I can recover them via my mobile number but I would rather have my lost password recovered than that. Just to be more precise, I was able to scan using Malwarebytes with out an issue but to my surprise, it said the database version was v2016.02.06.16 or something like that & at the header there was an msg stating, I had never ran an scan on it. (the last scan I ran was few days back, might have had run at least over an 100 scans since I reinstalled it around 5-6 months ago, didn't upgrade to the latest version though, just kept updating virus db alone).

I would like to hear some suggestions on how to overcome this issue & if there's a way I could recover my passwords ? The issue has seem to have affected all browsers which run using the FF platform (Icedragon, Palemoon) but not the other browsers such as Chrome.
