IE11 & Video playback?

I've looked all over this forum so forgive me if I'm digging up the dead. I've been using IE since the mid '90's. I've tried the others at various times but always gone back. Now that IE11 is no longer supporting video playback I'm at a loss for what to do. Is there some sort of patch or add-on that's going around? I have Chrome setup and I use it for some sites but I'm not thrilled with it. Somebody enlighten me please?
