E mail client for windows 7

I am a windows 7 user and was using Hotmail until MS killed the live mail client. I tried Thunderbird last year but I found it to be buggy. Not reliable. I then downloaded Opera but it sucks. Instead I stuck to but would really like something better. I tried runasxp and it is ok but it causes problems with outlook in my android devices. I see some decent reviews of EMclient. Any suggestions? Thanks

Mail Client
I've used web based email for the last few years and now am looking for a mail client. I am currently looking at Thunderbird but wondered if there were other mail clients I should consider? I am rather paranoid about attached viruses/malware. Thanks!
