    Emails go to Junk

How can I get my Emails to stop going to the Junk file instead of my inbox where they belong? I'm told many are also missing from my inbox. How can I correct these Email problems? I'm on W7 IE11. Thanks, B01

What email program are you using?. If you are using Outlook 2010, 2013 or 2016 open Outlook in usual Home page & on the menu at the top there is an item that says Junk, click on that & select Junk Email Settings. This opens a window with a lot of options for settings & there are tabs to select to change other settings.

This MS website might help you with understanding junk email settings. I would suggest just reading through it & trying various settings to fix your problem.

R4, Thanks for your reply. First of all when it comes to computers I am quite a simpleton so please bear with me if you can. I don't know which Outlook I am using or where to find out which it is or where to pull up the menu you refer to, sorry. But thanks again. B01.

Do you have Microsoft Office installed on your computer, if so open Control Panel & then select Programs & Features, scroll down to Microsoft Office & that will show you what version you have. Anyway below is a screen shot of my Outlook 2013 to show you where you need to go to change settings on Junk emails.

R4, Microsoft Office does not show in my Programs & Features and "Junk" does not show on my menu on top as it does on your screen shot. Not even Outlook.Live is shown in Programs & Features, which is what I have now after it took over from Hotmail. So, sorry to say I still can't tell you which Outlook number I have. Thanks, B01.

This means you have Outlook.com which replaced Windows Live Mail. These websites might help you control junk & spam in Outlook.com.

Help keep spam and junk email out of your inbox in Outlook.com - Outlook

How do I stop Outlook.com from putting legitimate messages in the junk mail folder? - Ask Leo!

While the second one above is probably the opposite of what you want to do, you could use it as a reference of what you can do.

R4, I am stymied, your first link, as I understand it, is primarily to keep junk mail from going to my inbox. My problem is my email is going to the junk mail not the opposite.

Your second link takes me to Ask Leo which directs me to "In Outlook.com click on the gear icon, and then the Manage rules menu item:" but mine does not show a Manage rules menu item there to click onto. Thanks again though, B01.

R4, thanks for your efforts, they are appreciated. Should I stay on this thread as no one seems to have any knowledge or care to help, or should I go onto another W7 Help Forum for help on getting my Emails instead of so many of them going to Junk? Thanks again for your help. B07

That's up to you, but certainly stay on this thread. You can also try using Google & doing searches on Outlook.com & see if anyone else can provide a solution for you.
