    Password help windows 7

Hi. I need some help in deleting passwords...

For example...I pulled up a site about Gorilla's and in order to open this I had to give a password. I decided that I did not want the gorilla site so I deleted it. Does the password with this site also disappear or does it stay on my system?

If it stays on my system how would I delete the password. How would I find this password if I have already deleted the site.

I don't want to do something that would be a mistake.

    Help is appreciated. Thank you.

It depends on what browser and if it's set to remember logins most like Firefox you can view all password in security settings

If you haven't instructed the browser to remember the password (which you should never do anyway) it would not have been saved anywhere in your computer to begin with, so there is nothing to clean. The only records I can think of are the browser history and cache, and those will go away within some time, or can be explictly cleared if you want to.

The website itself probably retained your user account and some form of your password. Even if you instructed it to specifically delete your account, you have no warranty that it actually did so (and their backups probably hold a copy).

In either case, if you no longer use the site in question, I wouldn't bother with it. A password that isn't used don't represent any security compromise even if leaked. Just delete history/cache/saved passwords and move on.
