    Can't find the problem - I cannot install IE11

    Friends,

I have run the scannow command multiple times -- (the problem is that I cannot install IE11 because I keep being told to download updates...but then am told that all updates are installed, EXCEPT for IE11) --
I have the log, and other than one mention of "verifying 81 (0x0000000000000051)" everything else seems nominal. I have spent several days prowling the forums for a way to update my system to IE11 and am pretty much out of ideas. I am attaching the scan log is that is any help

running IE8 because Windows 7 will not let me update to any other version. (I/ve tried 9 with the same results as 11. Asks me to download updates that are already installed.

I am sending you the three IE11 logs that I can find in the Windows\Logs file. I did not find one called IE_11Main. The CBS log you want is too big for this forum The max size is 2MB and that file is 3.99. I am open to suggestions as to how to send it, and thank you for looking at this.

    Hi Justin,

As your still on IE8, that implies a long term error - from the original install

There was a possible clue in the logs

please install the DirectX run time installer

Download DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer from Official Microsoft Download Center

    reboot try updating

I had a friend's computer running Windows 7 without SP1. After getting SP1 finally added, was able to upgrade IE to 10 or 11, can't remember exactly right now. Your Windows 7 has SP1 installed, correct?

yes, I am running SP1. Also, for Roy, I feel stupid, but I can't find instructions on how to use the Seven Forums zip routine. Can you point me in the right direction?
