    I really need help now!!!

    Right. I have been trying for a Hell of a long time (to no avail) to fix this problem:-

    I have Windows 7. All of my browsers (aside from Lunascape and IE) do not seem to connect to the internet. They all blame firewall, but I have been fiddling with that for ages and can't quite work out the problem.. so it might not be that. Does anyone have ANY idea on just what I can do, it's really getting to me now... Spent hours on it (instead of revising lol...)
    If anyone has any idea, or wants to know additional information that I have excluded from the preceding text, please tell me :)

    Thank you all ^^,

    P.S. I am sixteen years old and have had Windows 7 for about a week, so pardon me if the answer is very obvious on what to do.

    Do you know if your Internet connection is actually working such as with MSN ?

    If you do have an established network connection does it show as "Internet access"

    If it does then your browsers are likely being blocked by a program such as an antivirus and or your firewall ?

    maybe fill out your specs found in the bottom left of your posts and describe here your basic software environment

    Yeah, the internet connection actually works, because I can browse internet on Lunascape and IE and MSN works fine... Could you rephrase the second question please? Not best at understand words I daresay... Yeah, I'm thinking it's a firewall.. I don't think I have anything other than Windows firewall (any way I can check?). And yeah, but I don't know any of the specs... not good at technology

    well what computer is it , laptop or desktop and what make etc , and have you installed any extra firewalls or antivirus or did it all come pre-built ?

    as chinga69 says above disable firewall and also any antivirus running in the bottom right on your taskbar then try your "other browsers"

    Start-> type "msinfo32"(without the quote) or Start-> All progs-> Accessories->System Tools
    Then fill the system spec in your user CP.

    have you tried going to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Windows Firewall\Allowed Programs then click change settings then allow another program and point to the browser your trying to allow access ??

    although with default settings this shouldn't be necessary

    Yeah I've tried the above suggestions... it came prebuilt, no additional firewalls... Norton Internet Security is downloaded (from when I bought it) but I have not payed for it.... Shall look at changing the specifications now (Y)
