I still use IE for some web sites, but I mostly use Opera for general browsing.

IE is an integral part of the Windows 7 Operating System & it has to be installed. If you don't want to use it just leave it alone.

If you download & install another brand of browser, make sure it is set as the "Default Browser", if it's the one you favour most. Of course you can still use IE as well if you wish.

IE11 is pretty much the only browser I use (I keep Firefox on my computer for the occasional sites that were designed by clowns that were too lazy and/or incompetent to design for IE, may they roast!). IE is the only browser with what I consider to be acceptable cookie handling.

I also still like and use IE11, and have no problems with it. I use Firefox also.

I do. I use IE 70% and Chrome 30%. I'm using Safari now (on my MacBook Air). If a page won't open correctly in IE, I switch over to Chrome and that fixes the issue.
